I have a client who has two domains, the LIVE domain and a TEST domain. The two have a trust in place between the two domains. The physical link between the two domains was lost, but the trust relationship was in tact. Now when we try open the Users list page in the administration tab, the following error shows up in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016:

Trust relationship between the primary domain and the trusted domain failed

To solve this we kept the users in the database, we didn’t want issues as standard Nav doesn’t let you delete a user that has logged in. We filtered this from the Users List Page 9800 using code in the OnOpenPage trigger.

If the users causing trouble were named like so:

UNWANTEDDOMAIN\Bob

UNWANTEDDOMAIN\Ralph

Add code as below:

SETFILTER(“UserName”,'<>*UNWANTEDDOMAIN*’);
